My interior design work cannot be defined by a particular style. Over the past 35 years, I have helped young single people, couples, and families with everything from putting together their first homes or upgrading their current homes (often working with architects) to redecorating existing homes and helping people when it's time. These interiors have ranged from classic to contemporary, from antique-filled to unusual or original arts and crafts to Asian-inspired designs. Along the way, I have helped many couples with different tastes negotiate a mutually agreeable style for their homes. I love to get into clients' minds and help them create what they want for their homes. COLOR — whether it's for the walls of a home or office, accent pillows, or art — has always been my favorite tool. In one home, I painted a large front hall navy, which made the fine white woodwork on the walls pop while working well with the Oriental area rugs.

For many years, I lived in a 100-year-old house in Chevy Chase Village. My current home was built in 1800 in a Quaker community. My husband bought it but never fixed it up. In recent years, I have redone it slowly, out of respect for my husband who was reluctant to make changes in an historic house. Besides adding a new kitchen, we have infused the house with fresh wall colors that are appropriate to the period of the home, and added some contemporary art and fine crafts to the classic furnishings. By working together, we have made it truly our own, a vibrant home that is reflective of out love of art & color.

Over the years I have worked on a variety of offices, both contemporary and traditional, which often included finding artwork.
